New and Exciting WDW

If you do not know, Fantasyland in Walt Disney World is going thru a rather large expansion, which includes 2 new rollercoasters, new restaurants, and a re-imagining of Dumbo, among other things.  This is a much anticipated event, especially for those who have been looking for something new at WDW for awhile!

Today Disney announced opening dates for Beasts Castle, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Storybook Circus!
We are planning our next trip for 2013, so I will be so excited to see all the new things!  Take a look at the Disney blog for more info.  http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2012/04/opening-dates-announced-for-beast%E2%80%99s-castle-seven-dwarf-mine-train-more/

We are also given a sneak peek into the re-imagined Test Track, which now looks WAY more futuristic (TRON anyone?) than its predecessor.  You can design your own ride!  http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2012/04/new-renderings-depict-a-reimagined-test-track-at-epcot/

Are you excited for all the new things in Fantasyland?  How about Test Track?

Dining Secrets at Disney

Found a fun article this morning about dining secrets at Walt Disney World!  For those of us who have been there often, some of these are no surprise, but I was surprised to hear about Mickey shaped cucumbers and melons!  Definitely something to check out my next trip.  As for me, my food 'must dos' at Disney are Dole Whip floats, Mickey Rice Krispie treats, and a new favorite, the Liberty Tree Tavern.  We just went there for the first time this last trip, and really enjoyed the family style, homestyle meal.  There was way too much food for 4 (well 3 1/2 of us)! No trip is complete for my husband without a turkey leg, of course.

My all time favorite, which sadly no longer exists, was at Cosmic Rays, and was essentially a cone of BBQ pulled chicken in a flatbread.  The chicken was the best I've ever had, I miss it when I go!

What are your favorite Disney foods?
